Horneck Castle has a lot to Offer

The eventful past of the former castle of the congregation of the Teutonic Order reaches back far into the 13th century and tells  stories of violent conflicts as well as of reconstruction and economic prosperity.
Horneck Castle is an idyllic place. It is situated high above the banks of the river Neckar and boasts a spectacular view over the neighbouring vineyards, referred to as the Heavenly Realm, and the adjoining river meadows. Embedded in the magical landscape of undulating vineyards the castle is part of the touristic Castle Route.

A cobblestone street leads directly from Horneck Castle into the historic town centre of Gundelsheim with the medieval flair of its famous half-timbered houses, narrow alleyways, fountains, nooks and crannies.
The surrounding vineyards, meadows and forests or the neighbouring castles and bicycle paths along the Neckar offer a variety of relaxing trips for all ages.

Couples and groups who fancy medieval romanticism, a boat tour along the Neckar, fine Swabian cuisine and local wines, will all enjoy a trip to Horneck Castle and Gundelsheim.

During the summer a modern swimming pool with a view of the castle guarantees fun for old and young.
